Les Cordeliers — Restaurant in Béziers

This is the newest of a growing list of very good Pezenas restaurants. We have had a group of local friends meet there every Sunday for brunch (we love their omelets) for the last five weeks - just after they opened. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Their wine list is deep and covers a wide price range. They have the best French fries in the area. It is walking distance - 5 minutes from the center of town the outside tables are under beautiful trees and nicely spread out. The prices are very reasonable. Hosted a pre-wedding meal here, so all our guests could come together, eat and chat before the wedding the next day. The manager was super helpful and accommodating, set a three course meal with wine for our large group. Excellent location, next to old town of Pézenas. Large outdoor and indoor space, even a sandy area by the pool that the kids enjoyed exploring while the adults were busy chatting. Only downside was the before mentioned wine in the set menu was never distributed despite numerous enquiries about it. Maybe a small communication error, but that's the only reason to deduct a star. Réservation surprise, faite par Honey pour diner le 1 aout 2024. Notre 1ère fois et pas la dernière. Alors là, quelle surprise à notre arrivée, (les premiers, j'ai pu faire de jolies photos du cadre tranquillement). C'est l'Eden, l'endroit parfait pour un diner en amoureux, ce qui était notre cas, ou en famille ou entre amis ou même seul. Resto outside, avec piscine, arbres, fleurs et brumisateurs, qui apportent la touche cosy à cet endroit. Quant au personnel, nous avons particulièrement bien accroché avec le manager Grégory...l'ange de l'Eden. Aux petits soins de A à Z. Le seul petit bémol, car je vais faire mon enquinineuse, pas de pain apporté et oubli de revenir nous proposer le vin, qui l'a été avant de nous apporter le plat, mais zappé par la suite (pas très grave en soit, nous avons bu un cocktail avant et comme on le sait tous...consommer avec modération). Nous avons choisi la côte de bœuf, avec frites, légumes maison et salade, sur les conseils de Grégory...nous y avons fait honneur jusqu'au bout du bout, tout juste si nous n'avons pas rongé l'os. En dessert, j'ai choisi la soupe fraise menthe, servi avec sorbet au citron...très rafraichissant et mon époux a choisi le fondant chocolat servi avec chantilly maison et glace vanille maison (pas sure) mais délicieuse (bah oui j'ai goûté). Pour résumé, je conseille vivement. Nous savons que nous y retournerons un midi pour changer et profiter de la piscine par la suite.
