Tourist trap. Situated at the end of a strip of very similar restaurants but you think you're getting something different. Waiters serving tables were miserable, the young lady with dark hair threw my entree on the table and stormed off. My Husband ordered the Entrecôte which was so tough he couldn't finish it. We ordered water for the table that never arrived, we were never asked whether the food was ok nor were we asked if we wanted to order more drinks. Other guests around us, mainly French, were not finishing most of their meals - what does that tell you? The Tuna tartar was drenched in soy and tasted of nothing but salt. Some of the menu was not clear, even in French - the steak didn't tell you what it came with, I had to ask the waiter if it came with fries and as if asking was a chore, he rolled his eyes at me, like it wasn't obvious. When the steak came out it was literally just with oven chips and nothing else. The childrens meals came out with salad drenched in balsamic vinegar (very high in sugar) which they refused to eat, they would eat salad without it or with any other dressing. Being asked about salad dressing for very young children would have been a courtesy. The seafood platter was served with unseasoned black rice and mashed potatoes, I'm sorry but what cuisine is that? It looked disgusting and many people were leaving the sides. Staff wearing promotional tshirts were loitering in the bar area, doing seemingly nothing at all but chatting. Kids ice cream came out in a pre-packaged cup from a shop. The place is just a thrown together diner occupying prime...

Not a great evening. We booked the table a few days before. On arrival we were seated at a table with high stools not what we were expecting from a restaurant. It took 15 minutes before we saw a waiter/waitress we ordered a round which came back wrong. We then ordered our mains and got it in less than 10 minutes which we thought was super quick, however the 2 chicken meals were raw and when asked to return or replace the staff only spoke French. Eventually an English speaking staff member told us that is how the chicken is always cooked and was up to us to ask for it to be cooked more. She also stated that they cook about 100 chicken meals a night and you have to expect a few underdone. Like I said not a good night. Then she said we shouldn’t review the evening as everything had been sorted as...

The good: the location and decor. It feels like you are on holiday, it look and feels like a lovely beach restaurant. The bad: the service and food. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, the maitre D waved us to the bar area because he was too busy talking talking to others. We waited for 10 minutes before WE approached HIM again which was when he showed us to our table...which had been empty the whole time we were there. Our server was quite miserable, she didnt crack a single smile. Our food arrived before any water, soda or wine. We had to ask for our drinks and plates after the food. The charcuterie selection was good, but their pan con tomate was jarred pasta sauce over bread. The seafood tapas (shrimp, squid, croquetas) are made...

The restaurant is indeed nice and close to the sea. It was crowded, it took a while to find a table, to seat and to serve. We were lucky because the kitchen was about to close and most of the people left. We had the tuna, the sole fish and tha gambas salade. The salade was good, tuna was very nice, well cooked, polenta was perfect (even though i am not a fun of it) and the eggplant/ratatouille garnish was also delicious. I didn't like the sole (well cooked also but not so much taste) it has a mushroom sauce with a very strong taste that was killing completely the fish. The sauce was very good but i believe not to accompanie a fish.

A consistently fantastic experience season after season! Great service, well-made cocktails, imaginatively presented food, ambiance, views, music. Well worth the price! As Vias locals we have and will continue to visit regularly (especially after a disappointing experience with La Pailotte next door that has the same prices but doesn't even come close to matching quality in any category this year, except the views).
