Ô tandem — Restaurant in Barcelonnette

We discovered this gem during our trip through France, and it absolutely blew us away! From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for something special. The duck breast was exceptional - cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear and incredibly tender interior. The elevated presentation and sophisticated flavor profile with rich sauce and expertly prepared seasonal vegetables showed real culinary artistry. We also tried their vegetarian dish which was remarkably refined - they transformed simple vegetables into something truly elevated and complex.

For dessert, we shared the French toast which was far more sophisticated than expected. The plating was gorgeous with vanilla ice cream, perfectly whipped cream, and crushed walnuts, all artfully drizzled with house-made caramel sauce. Even this classic comfort food was elevated to fine dining standards with exceptional attention to texture and balance.

The quality of ingredients was outstanding throughout - you could taste the difference in every component. Each dish felt carefully crafted and thoughtfully composed, with restaurant-level presentation that was almost too beautiful to eat. The execution was flawless, showing real skill and attention to detail in the kitchen.

Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Ô Tandem to anyone visiting the area. This has easily become our favorite meal in France so far. Don’t miss this...

Un soir de 15 août à Barcelonette, nous cherchons un restaurant pour dîner. A 19h45, nous constatons que tous les resto sont plein. Et oui, 15 août et dernier jour des fêtes mexicaines. Nous parcourons les rues, espérant trouver une table dispo. Suite aux nombreux excellents commentaires sur le O Tandem, j aurais adoré pouvoir y dîner. Malheureusement eux aussitôt sont complets. La serveuse me conseille gentiment un autre restaurant. Avec regret nous nous éloignons pour nous diriger vers le restaurant indiqué. Nous y regardons la carte mais aucune dispo. Et là j entends derrière nous "j ai une table !". La très gentille serveuse venait d avoir une annulation de table, elle est venue nous chercher pour nous dire qu une table pour 4 était alors disponible pour nous. Ravis, nous la remercions vivement d être venue nous rechercher pour que l on puisse avoir cette table, malgré le nombre de demandes. Le repas composé d une excellente planche charcuterie fromages, de délicieux plats de tapas, de bière est juste un régal. Idem pour le dessert. Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent moment et partagé un excellent repas avec nos enfants de 8 et 12 ans. Accueil et service chaleureux, repas excellent, cadre très sympa...allez y les yeux fermés mais pensez à réserver pour être certains d avoir...
