Awful experience. To be clear, the food was very good. Only two main courses...will explain why. Service was very poor, epitomised by a rude, disrespectful waitress. Waited 15 mins after eating to get plates cleared, asked three times for the bill, had to ask then twice to pay and she passed us several times. Finally got up and went to the counter and eventually paid by card despite attempts to get us to pay cash. BUT the worst part of the night was the disgusting stench of sewerage in the outside seating area where we sat. Absolutely putrid. When I made my views about this to the waitress she did not respond. I explained to the manager and he said said there was a problem. I asked why serve people outside if there is a problem.....he just shrugged his shoulders. Le Bocaccino is an absolute gem in Barcelonnette! The food was exquisite, with the highlight being the Pappardelles aux morilles et à la truffe d’été—a dish that perfectly balances rich flavors and freshness. Every bite was a delight, showcasing the chef’s mastery of ingredients.

The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a memorable dining experience. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to add some soft, ambient background music to enhance the atmosphere even further.

Overall, an outstanding restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelonnette. Bravo to the team at...

MEILLEUR ITALIEN DE LA VALEE !

Nous avons réservé pour le deuxième service (21h15) en terrasse pour 4 personnes. L'accueil s'est très bien déroulé. Le restaurant étant dans une petite rue moins passante, le brouhaha de la place manuel est atténué et c'est agréable. L'endroit est propre, rien à redire !

Nous avons commandé : deux risottos ( gambas & morilles) et deux plats de pates ( végétariennes & morilles/ truffe ). Nous n'avons vraiment pas attendu longtemps et en plus le plaisir gustatif était au rendez-vous ! Vraiment, rien à redire, tout était absolument délicieux, jusqu'au vin blanc : doux et moelleux. Absolument ravis, nous nous sommes laissé tenté par les desserts : tiramisu et mousse citron/framboise. Mais quel délice ! Cela va sans dire, je vous recommande totalement les plats cités ici. Nous reviendrons une prochaine fois afin de goûter les pizza !

A la carte, il y a aussi des viandes, des poissons et des menus un peu plus cher et je ne doute pas que la qualité est au rendez vous ! Vraiment, ce fut une belle soirée !
