Effet Mer — Restaurant in Bastia

Never met worse and brutal personal/staff than in this restaurant. Never saw a worse service here than anywhere in the world. Wanted a menu and something to drink with the familie and suddenly the kitchen was closed, but other tables received a menu carte after us. It looked they just didnt want to serve foreigners, only locals.

Well that's not true. We kindly greeted your waitress and she gave us a nice table, it is because of your poor English that you thought that we only came for a drink and left us there pointing to the bar where we could get it ourself.

No idea about the food - we never got a chance to order anything.

Arrived around 15:00 into an almost empty restaurant, and the personnel did everything to avoid taking an order, even looked away when we tried to draw their valuable attention to us. Finally, a young waitress brought us a menu, but never came back. So we just left.

This place can apparently afford to loose potential customers and does not need money. Just disgusting.

Came because it said it was open on Google but it was not. Please put in some effort.

And to answer your grumpy response: I was there shortly past 4pm, which I don't perceive as evening. And there were people sunbathing at the beach in shorts and bikini at approx 21,°C. Not sure if for you getting your own opening times right on Google maps is at the same level as "opening an emotional crisis center", but apparently it's not so easy, because it is 21:15 and Google maps still says it's open now.
