La Vela — Restaurant in Bastia

We took an umbrella and two sunbeds for rent in this establishment; sunbeds are comfortable and you can always have a decent amount of shadow thanks to the positioning of the beach. I don’t know if booking in advance is possible but I suggest not to come after 12PM since there are just two rows of umbrellas (both very close to the shore). Price is 30€ for a shadow and two loungers. The restaurant is quite good although they use a little too much pesto (you can find it everywhere from the beef carpaccio to the octopus salad). Lovely beach bar overlooking a fabulous sheltered and safe beach. The service is friendly and the food really nice. Absolutely fantastic crew and atmosphere. We went there after our boat got rammed by another boat while at anchor. The mood at the café during the day is relaxed og peacefull.
