Creperie la Falaise — Restaurant in Bayeux

Staff was rude, commenting something about us at loud with each other something in French, from what I understood they didn't hear our bonjour good enough. So each of us would had to repeat it many times loud enough to even get the menu. We ordered crepes anyway since we couldn't find any creperie in vicinity and wanted crepes. The crepes looked like they were cooked ahead and then just cooked again for us to make them warm again as a result we got burnt crepes and I mean really burnt looking and tasting burnt - this kind of crepes that I throw away when preparing them at home. And there wasn't even many people at the "restaurant" at the moment, so there was no reason to rush. And the prices were really high for this kind of experience (bad food, rude staff, very average looking "restaurant" at not very special place) like 4-7 euros - this kind of service in Paris would be cheaper. Our worst experience in a long time...

Slow, expensive and utterly forgettable. 30 minutes to get an order. 2 hours all up from sit down to paying up for a plate and dessert - From a bar-creperie with 20 customers sitting. The prices put Paris creperies to shame - without the quality to justify the 40% extra charge from a simple "brasserie". 9 euros a kids meal for a can of coke, 10 chips and 2 slices of reheated pork shoulder (one level below the cheapest ham) and 1 scoop of ice cream - that took 40 minutes to arrive and any mention of getting something into an annoyed and hungry kid was met with a shrug of " it will be ready when it's ready".

I'm disappointed. For very simple French bar meal that should have been served in 15 minutes for less than 35 euros, 2 hours and almost 60 was a terrible. Will not...

Service isn't great and clearly understaffed, three of us arrived before mid day and there was 6 other people being served in the whole cafe, we didn't get our order taken for at least 20 minutes as the waiter was working on his own.

We ordered fish and chips which took another 25 minutes, when this arrived it was fish and curly fries, not fish and chips. It tasted fine but was all clearly from frozen which wasn't reflected in the price as this was quite expensive.

The place wasn't too clean either, visible dust on the beer machines at the front desk and the deep fat fryers looked filthy.
