Quel HORRIBLE. We took a group of 35 international students to this restaurant on our trip to Normandy. They took advantage of our group’s money and served us pre-made chicken cordon bleu that was highly processed and PLAIN pasta - no sauce, a bowl of cheese that we had to ask for, and a bottle of ketchup and mayonnaise. Many of our patrons were disgusted and ended up walking to another restaurant to eat. They served us utter garbage and it set a poor tone for our two full days in Normandy. What a way to be introduced to this city. Thankfully we had a fantastic meal at another restaurant the second night where we got a beautiful chicken, salad, frites, and chocolate lava cake - judging by what we got from L’Estran we are SURE they are just having a hay day with the profits from the...
Read moreOur tour bus made a pre-arranged stop at this no-frills restaurant in Maisy, with menu options of baked cod, baked ham slice, or pizza slice along with hard cider and dessert. They Sat and served our group of approx 50 quickly, and the food was tasty with no complaints on the ham or fish (served with fries). Neither of us had the pizza. The hard cider was not as sweet as we normally would have, and somewhat earthy but not unpleasant- a good pairing with the ham. The apple tart was also less sweet than we normally have, and more healthy to be honest. Overall a good choice for our situation: if yours is similar, use the restroom right away...
Read moreWe had lunch here as part of a bus tour. To be clear, we were a bit grumpy because we didn't want to stop for lunch and wanted to see more of the Normandy D-Day beaches and museums. The restaurant did their best to feed all of us at once. The quality varied greatly across our group - I had good fish, someone else's was tough, my fries were cold, others weren't. It's hard to feed a large group - and beware at lunch that these folks do feed tour group buses. I don't envy taking that job on - it's tough and it's really tough to do well. But overall, I would try going back during an evening to see if...
