My family and I came here after sightseeing around Normandy. The restaurant opened at noon and we witness a family of 3 walk in ahead of us, therefore we followed. The menu was posted in french outside, so I went inside to ask the hostess if she had an english menu. I was very polite. The waitress turned to a man behind the bar and said something in french. He then turned and said to us, there's no room yet the restaurant was 99% empty with only 1 table seated. We left perplexed. After debating in the car for a few minutes, we came to the conclusion they didn't want to serve us. Funny how the restaurant is located 100 meter where 10,000 dead american soldiers died but yet we american were refused service. It's 2023 and thanks to people like this, the stereotype of french people being jerks lives on. I see a lot of 5 star reviews about the food, but unfortunately we...

The owner of our Hotel, Chateau St. Pierre recommended that we go to La Trinquette. When we walked in the door right at 7:05pm there was one other table that had been seated and by 7:45 the place was packed and turning away guests who did not have a reservation. My wife had the fish stew with veggies. It was buttery and delicious. I had the catch of the day on cheesy risotto with a chimichuri sauce. It was not the chimichuri that I'm used to from Texas but it was perfect. A slightly sweet, mild chili sauce that was fantastic and wiped up nicely with bread at the end. My wife and I split the lemon tart which was amazing...kind of like a crunchy key lime pie with basil sorbet. I would definitely...

prejudice against foreigners, ridiculous waiting time, tasteless food, salted drinking water. If you are looking to becoming annoyed just go to La Trinquette. It's annoyance guaranteed. The waitress is just too much into disliking non-frenchmen, and she makes a simple dinner bring the feeling of "I miss home" immediately. The food is appallingly tasteless and make us feel like "why I just didn't buy a sandwich on the way to the hotel?", and the salted warm carrafe d'eau (that I'm pretty sure was salted on purpose) make us miss "Wilson" - if you know what I mean. Just avoid...

I like this restaurant very much, for it is elegant but friendly at the same time. Very fresh food for a right price, people from staff is professional but nice and humble. They are able to make people feel good even if you order a glass of wine and few oisters or two storey plateau of seafood and coquillage. Don't worry, push the door, enter and enjoy, the staff will ne pleasant...
