Trattoria Roma — Restaurant in Bernay

Mixed feelings, I had expected more after having read the reviews. We started with tomatoes and mozzarella, which was good and for me fried mixed fish. First time it was fried much too long, I don't understand how this can leave the kitchen. I received new ones and that was ok. Maybe stupid to order something like this in an Italian restaurant, but I felt like it. Second I had risotto, it was gorgeous, structure was very nice. My wife had spaghetti carbonara. I asked before if it would be the real carbonara, without cream and the said it was. However, when it was served, I immediately saw it was with cream and you tasted it. My wife didn't bother so I didn't complain. Chocomousse was very nice. Service was very friendly and nice. I wondered how one person in the kitchen and one in service could manage a full restaurant but they did with problems....

Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food. I ordered a calzone and asked to change some ingredients, the chef himself came to ask me if i wanted the Parma ham baked inside or raw on top. Very thoughtful and shows respect for ingredients and cooking. My friends calzone with truffel became his new favourite pizza! Un tres...

Le restaurant est cosy, avec une partie rouge et grise au rdc, et une partie verte à l'étage. Les antipasti valent le détour et vous emporteront jusqu'en Italie, quand à leurs incontournables tabliatelles à la truffe... Elle vous donneront un aperçu du paradis !!! Mais la carte comporte d'autres délices, comme des pizzas et des salades, quand à leurs desserts, ils vous laisseront babas (napolitains, évidemment !) ... Pour quelques heures, éloignez-vous de la grisaille Normande et venez dégustez de superbes spécialités italiennes. Ambiance chaleureuse et authentique avec les panneaux publicitaires rappelant les heures de gloire des Vespa exposés aux murs. Le service est convivial et leurs vins sont excellents...Si vous voulez inviter votre dulcinée et savourer pour un moment la dolce vita, venez à la Trattoria, vous ne serez pas déçus...
