MEUH ! Restaurant Saint-André-de-Cubzac — Restaurant in Blaye

I found this restaurant via Google maps on route north. It is just off the main Autoroute for a change from the services. You have to order something from a set menu for 19.90 euros on entry before you are seated at your table. I chose the "le pave MEUH" with frites and salad followed by the mouse au chocolate. After waiting for nearly an hour after placing my order. (Many others were served before me, who arrived after me) I made the assumption they had lost my order or just forgotten about me.

I chased the waitress and an hour after placing the order it finally arrived. The steak was just OK and the frites were cold. Not very appealing but for 19 euros what can I expect? The tables alt was wet and practically empty, clearly been there for longer than it should have been

The dessert of chocolate mouse arrived and once again I was disappointed, the chef had clearly not mixed his packet well enough as it was grainy and lumpy.

Perhaps I have lived in France to long and expect better food standards, but this will not be a place I will return to or recommend to anyone.

It's slow and poor quality, better off at the burger King next door. Its a shame as this has the potential to be great. I wouldn't like to look in the kitchens given the state of the table salt and cold fries. Not the signe of a...

The food was solid, and the portions matched the prices well. While the quality of the meat wasn't mind-blowing, it was definitely satisfying. (Happy with the tartarre, maybe a little much of onion).

Being Italian, I wasn't a huge fan of their take on cheesecake (maybe we're just used to something different back home).

Nous avions réservé un samedi pour 13h, nous arrivons à l'heure et l'établissement était à moitié rempli, on nous place dans un endroit calme 👍🏻. Nous prenons un menu à 24.90 avec des entrecôtes à point et desserts. Les entrecôtes arrivent 30 minutes après, cela allait car nous avions les apéritifs. Je ne sais si c'était la cuisson ou la qualité de la viande mais elles étaient dures et caoutchouteuses. Autrement dit, elles n'étaient pas bonnes. Nous finissons le plat et attendons les desserts, qui mettront plus de 30 minutes à arriver. Les desserts étaient moyens... Nous attendons de nouveau 30 minutes pour seulement COMMANDER un café (pourtant nous avons essayé de les appeler plusieurs fois), il mettra également 30 minutes à arriver. Nous sommes arrivés à 13h et partis à 15h30, nous avons vu deux services défilés devant nous... Nous nous dirigeons donc vers la caisse où la serveuse avait un enfant dans les bras. Nous payons, la remercions puis lui disons au revoir, nous n'avons pas eu de retour ni de regard de sa part. Extrêmement déçus par la lenteur du service, plus de deux heures alors que les autres tables sont rentrées après nous et réparties avant et le comportement de la serveuse lors...
