Have been wondering whether to write this but decided it was probably best to let other potential customers know. We got a rotisserie chicken from this man Sunday 16/02. We queued for about forty minutes, which is fine as we know you often have to wait a long time as he's just a one man band and he loves to chat with the customers. Undoubtedly there are things he could do to get people served a bit quicker, but i accept it's part of the way he operates and i can't criticise him for that.
We finally make it to the front, the customer in front of us is paying and as he is doing so, a deliveroo driver arrives and presents his phone to the owner to show him the order number. The owner then proceeds to berate the delivery driver for not waiting for the paying customer to finish, before inquiring as to where the delivery driver is from (he is dark skinned). The delivery driver patiently responds to the irate owner to let him know he is Bangladeshi, and the owner then continues to make a fake praying gesture before suggesting "are they not like that in your culture?" in a very aggresive and patronising tone. I was absolutely appalled. I have no doubt if we had told the owner there and then that he was being incredibly racist, he would be mortified, but the fact remains that his behavior was racist, ugly, and degrading. I'm ashamed to say that we didn't intervene, but had i not waited forty minutes in line for a chicken i needed to buy for a family member for their lunch, i would have done so.
Finally, the chicken was overcooked. So if you like your chicken dry and your server racists, make sure to stop and see this bloke. Otherwise, don't bother. I look forward...

Monsieur prend le temps de discuter, certes il ne faut pas être pressé, mais HEUREUSEMENT que des gens comme lui prennent encore le temps aujourd’hui de parler, de faire connaissance. Vous perdez votre humanité c’est désolant. Soyez ouvert d’esprit. Alors oui, peut être que vous tomberez sur un de ses mauvais jours, mais vous, client, vous croyez que vous êtes agréable à chaque fois? Tirer une tronche de 25m, faut pas s’étonner qu’il vous reçoive de la sorte. Ça arrive à tout le monde d’être stressé et de pas être de bonne humeur. NOUS NE SOMMES PAS DES ROBOTS ! Vous parlez d’empathie, mais vous semblez en manquer pour juger qu’il ne l’est pas.
