Terroir — Restaurant in Bordeaux

We had the pleasure of dining at Terroir twice during our stay in Bordeaux and really enjoyed both experiences.

On our first visit, we ordered à la carte and were impressed by their extensive wine selection. Once the staff knew what we’d chosen to eat, they recommended wines that matched our dishes really well. One of the starters, oysters and sea snails with green curry, was surprisingly well-balanced and very tasty. The other starter—hummus with asparagus—was also flavorful and well-executed. For the main course, we all opted for the fish, which was cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table.

Because we liked it so much, we came back again to try the five-course menu. We were really impressed. The staff offered to surprise us with a wine pairing, which turned out to be a great fit with the dishes—and it wasn’t chosen based on price, which we appreciated. Each course was different but still felt like part of a well-thought-out menu.

A highlight of the evening was being offered three additional experimental dishes the chef was trying out for the first time. We felt honored to be part of that process and appreciated how much the team valued our feedback.

The service throughout both visits was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about food and wine. If we ever find ourselves in Bordeaux again, Terroir will be at the top...

Une très belle expérience, à conseiller aussi bien pour les Bordelais que pour les voyageurs en passage à Bordeaux :-) Lors de notre séjour nous avons découvert le restaurant un peu au hasard en résidant à proximité de la gare et de ce nouveau quartier en expansion. Accueil chaleureux, personnel attentif et d'excellent conseil pour l'accord mets/vins, tout ceci dans un cadre agréable propice à de belles découvertes culinaires. Et là un grand bravo à l'équipe de cuisine !!! Une carte courte mais efficace et qui tient toutes ses promesses : les propositions sont originales et justes, les assaisonnements sont adaptés : une très belle découverte !!! Allez y très vite, pour l'instant réserver une table rapidement est encore facile mais cela devrait évoluer très rapidement ;-) Big up à toute l'équipe et belle...
