Bigbang — Restaurant in Boulogne-Billancourt

Frist time visiting. Service was pretty good. Food was disappointing.

Seafood pancake was not cooked well, it was soaking in oil. They gave us Kimchi pancake in the beginning which was not what we ordered, but it was delicious (we both took one before realizing it was not what we ordered). So when the seafood pancake was served, we noticed right away the difference.

Kimchi soup was interestingly sweet, I think the sweetness came from the kimchi. I love kimchi but that was pretty strange. First time in my life I haven't finish a kimchi soup.

Maybe BBQ would be better but I don't want to go back anymore.

We told the server about how the pancake was under cooked when we paid, and he doesn't seem to care, he just told us that no one order seafood pancake, people like kimchi pancake and he seems to be proud of that. I've visited the restaurant with a couple of friends during a pop-up from a chef, of which we hadn't known before. We decided to stay anyways. After we ordered drinks, the waiter told us there was only a Menu Degustation on that evening and we could only order this 5-course menu for 59€. We've asked twice if we really couldn't order a la carte what we all would have preferred. The waiter told us it wasn't possible, though. In the end, we had way too much food (as expected). The portions were too large for a 5-course menu. But the worst thing is: next day we found out on Instagram, that the waiter lied to us and ordering a la carte would have been possible, too. We celebrated our son’s birthday at BIGBANG Sèvres and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Amit Roy, who took care of our table, was exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive to all our requests—his service truly made the evening special. The Korean cuisine was absolutely delicious—each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambience was warm, welcoming, and incredibly comfortable.
