Au Chalet de Brou — Restaurant in Bourg-en-Bresse

The place looks nice. However on Friday, the 29th it was a windy morning , while having my coffee,( and not facing the umbrella )the big garden umbrella fell almost on my head, like 40 centimeters from my head. It could have badly hurt me. The weird thing was that the staff/owners did not notice the whole situation for a longer time. When ,in the end someone approached me said only - It never happened before...so basically I received no apologies no nothing. I was lucky that I did not ended in the hospital. So be careful when you go there on a windy day... The owners were reckless to put these umbrellas in the first place and not securing...

besonders auf der durchreise an die côte d‘azure ist bourge-en-bresse ein idealer zwischenstopp... und wenn man schon da ist will man natürlich auch das berühmte bresse-huhn probieren! warum? wissen wir alle: roter kamm, weißes federkleid, blaue füße – eben bleu, blanc, rouge, die nationalfarben frankreichs... ok... grün für frosch fehlt 😂 und ein besonders leckers bresse-huhn gibt‘s hier! kleines authentisches französisches restaurant... netter service... leckeres essen... viele einheimische (auch älteren semesters... und die wissen wo‘s schmeckt 😂)

especially when passing through the côte d'azure, bourge-en-bresse is an ideal stopover ... and while you're there you also want to try the famous bresse chicken! Why? we all know: red crest, white plumage, blue feet - just bleu, blanc, rouge, the national colors france ... ok ... green frog missing 😂 And there is a particularly delicious Bresse chicken here! small authentic french restaurant ... nice service ... delicious food ... many locals (also older semesters ... and who knows where it's tasting 😂)

Un moment délicieux au Chalet de Brou !

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans ce charmant restaurant. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par une dame très aimable, et le service tout au long du repas a été impeccable, avec un serveur aussi attentionné que sympathique.

Côté cuisine, c'était un véritable régal ! Mon ami a choisi la quenelle, parfaitement réalisée, nappée d’une sauce exquise qui sublimait l’ensemble. Pour ma part, j’ai opté pour la pièce de bœuf : un pur délice ! Une viande d’une tendreté remarquable, accompagnée de petits légumes cuisinés avec soin. Une belle maîtrise en cuisine, dans l’assiette comme dans les saveurs.

Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent : des produits de qualité, bien travaillés, à un tarif tout à fait raisonnable. Une adresse à découvrir absolument si vous êtes dans les environs.
