La Pizzaïola de Cotignac — Restaurant in Brignoles

Although the pizzas themselves were good, service moved at a glacial pace - we didn’t get our food until 55 minutes after we sat down. And although the restaurant was nearly empty when we were arrived, we were crammed into a tiny space behind the only other seated table in the place, right next to the loos. As we left the manager asked whether we’d had a good meal, but didn’t like the honest answer. She ended up calling us liars when we gave her our justified complaints. Avoid at all costs.

The manager, in response, claims that all the tables were booked. There was one table that remained empty the entire time we were there. It was apart from all the others, and the reason I requested it was that we had a young dog with us and I didn't want him to disturb the other diners, which I felt would be the case if we were jammed in the table by the toilets. We ended up having to lock him in the car for the duration of our dinner.

As for the claim that the ticket shows that we were served our pizzas within 20 minutes of the order being taken, this is totally untrue. We arrived and were seated at 7.15, the pizzas arrived at the table at 8.10. Unless the manager is claiming that her waiter took our order at 7.40, her statement is clearly untrue.

I've worked in and with restaurants for long enough to know that customers rarely voice complaints directly to the management and that when they do, they should be taken seriously, not aggressively refuted.

The manager finishes by saying she looks forward to the pleasure of never seeing us again. The pleasure of not returning to the restaurant will...

On est hyper deçus! D‘abord, les horaires d‘ouverture qu‘on trouve en ligne ne sont pas correctes. Puis, j‘ai appellé pour savoir dès quand on peut commander des pizzas le lendemain. On m‘a dit à partir de 19 heures, un peu avant. Quand j‘ai appellé le lendemain vers cette heure, il n‘était pas possible de commander des pizzas à cause d’une soirée spéciale dont on n‘avait rien dit le jour avant. C‘est problématique quand on ne peut pas faire confiance aux infos données! Very disappointing! First of all, the opening hours you find online are NOT correct. Second, I called to know when it is possible to order pizzas the next day. Answer: from 7pm, a bit earlier. When I called at that time the next day, it was not possible to place an order because of a special evening that was not mentioned when I called the day before. It‘s problematic when you can‘t trust given info! Wir sind super enttäuscht! Die Öffnungszeiten, die man findet, stimmen nicht. Als ich angerufen habe, um in Erfahrung zu bringen, ab wann man am nächsten Tag Bestellungen aufgeben kann, hieß es ab 19 Uhr, etwas früher. Als ich dann am nächsten Tag um diese Zeit angerufen habe, war eine Bestellung aufgrund einer besonderen Veranstaltung nicht möglich. Diese wurde am Vortag mit keiner Silbe erwähnt. Problematisch, wenn man sich nicht auf Informationen...

Very nice menu with a lovely selection from the chef, not your typical pizzas.
