Le Bistrot Italien — Restaurant in Brignoles

As an Italian eating at an Italian restaurant abroad, I can strongly recommend this place! 🙂 We ordered pasta and truffle risotto, both very good and aesthetically presented. We got bread with our meals and were served grissini while waiting for our food. There is a very large selection of drinks to choose from and happy hour does not disappoint. Service was on point, the waiter and waitress came by multiple times to see how it was going and were always around to take our glasses and plates away as soon as we got done. We topped our delicious meal with some French creme brûlée.

To start, the service was very bad. One of the servers barely spoke english, and when I asked her for a plain burger she nodded yes like she understood, but when my food came out my burger had everything on it. None of the food on the menu seemed plain which was upsetting to me, it was also supposed to be Italian food but there was no margarita pizza. Very good lunch (antipasti and pasta) on an early Sunday afternoon, after 2 p.m. (!) Mostly local guests. Nice outside terrace, not too noisy. Alas, service was a bit negligent though: got no (tap) water although ordered it (and which was present on all the other occupied tables), and no second (zero alc) beer, ordered as well.
