Le Dépôt — Restaurant in Brive-la-Gaillarde

We went for Dinner as we stayed in a Hotel near and review OK . When entering the place we were greeted with a very unpleasant waiter who was totally unhelpful to where we wanted to sit. As we sat he asked us what would we like to drink and said in 2 minutes please.We asked what vegetarian meal were available we asked for mozzarella but could we have a tomato with it he said no but advised us to have a meal containing mozzarella & salmon & would take the salmon off. We agreed to this if we were only charged for salad & mozzarella not the salmon which he agreed to When we got the bill we had been charged for salmon. We argued with staff who spoke perfect English they only offered 3 Euro off & then brought the manager & suddenly nobody spoke English they were very rude & it was embarrassing a very nice blonde waitress sympathised but she could not help I have never been treated so rudely and would like some explanation about your staff we also ordered burger and fries which came cold & the waiter took the plate away & when it came back the burger was even colder & fries...

I went into this restaurant as i really needed to use the bathroom, turnd out the the light skinned bar guy with dark hair came up to me saying the bathroom is only available to costumers that actually have ordered something from their menu, so i asked the guy if i can see the menu so i can order something so i can use the bathroom. He looked at me with a weird facial expression saying that they dont have any and just left !!!!! I just stood there feeling really uncomfortable and shoked…. Another dark skined man came up to me saying that it is completlly fine that i could go and use the bathroom if i really needed to .. he was so much more friendly and more welcoming … the white skinned guy who works at the bar deserves to lose his job as he dont really know how to treat his costumers i felt like he was so racist towards me...

Nous nous sommes arrétés dîner dans ce restaurant proche de notre hôtel. Les points positifs: la proximité de l'hôtel, jolie décoration de l'établissement, accueil sympathique et service correcte.La carte présentait jusque là tout ce que nous aimions (et nous sommes bons vivants avec bcp de restaurants à notre actif). Pour les points négatifs: prix très excessifs rapport à la qualité et la presentation des plats. Fritures de petits poissons très/trop panées et très salée. Salade "de chez nous" : salade noyée dans la vinaigrette ,clairement pas fraîche du jour , foie gras insipide, ne vaut pas le prix affiché.(nous sommes en droit de nous poser la question du pourquoi de cet excès d'assaisonnement...) Quant aux brochettes de coeurs de canards, bien qu'ils soient recouverts de persillade, un goût douteux et une odeur plutôt noséabonde s'en dégageait.Nous n'avons pas osé tous les manger et en avons fait part au personnel réponse de la personne derrière le bar : "je les ai goûté, ils sont bons!" "Je ferai la remontée au grand chef (absent)" . Aucun geste commercial (même pas 1 café offert) mais une addition bien salée de 87€ pour un repas dont la fraîcheur des produits est plus que douteuse et ne vaut pas le détour! Ce monsieur devrait savoir accepter la remarque positivement et au contraire faire preuve de compréhension et de service clients au lieu de cela il remet notre parole en doute comme si nous ne savions pas reconnaître ou faire la différence entre le goût d'une persillade ou d'une cuisson spéciale avec celui de la fraîcheur d'un produit! C'est bien dommage ! La décoration du restaurant ne fait pas tout Nous n'avons pas voulu tergiverser mais il en decoule notre commentaire. Bien sûr nous n'y...
