LE GRIFFOLET — Restaurant in Brive-la-Gaillarde

At the reception of the hotel we asked if it was possible to eat something (small). We are told that it is not possible because the restaurant is closed so we decide to just drink something in the bar. Another couple arrives and asks if it is possible to eat something and to our surprise the answer is yes. The waitress informs them they only have some meals in glass pots that they can heat up. The couple orders two pots and they receive the pasta served on a proper pasta plate with a basket of bread on the side. We ask to order the same at a different waitress and she says we should scan the QR-code and choose. We inform her that her colleague indicated that not everything was available but she says that's strange and reacts quite cold. So we look to find the same as the other couple and order. The difference with the service the other couple received couldn't be bigger. We received it still in the pot, and no bread for us, not even a "bon appetit". If I didn't know the difference in serving it wouldn't matter but we were sitting close to the other couple so we felt like we were not treated equally, and...

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel restaurant pour manger car nous pouvions charger notre tesla sur le chemin des vacances sur place. Cependant arrivé à 13h40 un serveur nous explique qu'on ne peut plus manger car le cuisinier veut terminer son service. Ceci alors que d'autres tables sont en train de commander leurs repas. Et que les horaires du restaurant terminent à 14h. Nous demandons si nous pouvons trouver un autre restaurant à proximité et il nous répond "pour un bon marcheur c'est 15 min de marche... nous décidons de partir et de passer au toilettes. Les toilettes des hommes hors d'usage.... bref. Un hotel indigne du groupe accord. J'espère que le client mystère du groupe aura la même chance que nous... pour changer les choses....

Ca fait plusieurs fois que je viens déjeuner dans ce restaurant, et je ne suis jamais déçue ! Sans prétention, on y déguste de bons plats mijotés et frais. Aujourdhui, j'ai pris le menu du jour. Vraiment très bon ! La salade de lentilles était goûteuse et bien assaisonnée, le sauté de veau mijoté comme j'aime et la brioche perdue... fondante ! Merci à Nathalie pour ce service parfait, tout en discrétion. Elle a su anticiper nos besoins (eau, pain...), sans nous presser, et avec le sourire, ce qui est agréable. J'y reviendrai, sans...
