We dine at La Bodega, several times during our annual summer holidays,having first frequented it about 15 years ago. This year we were welcomed back by Gerrard Agnes and team as if you know what (Covid) had never happened. The menu, available bi-lingually was familiar and re-assuringly good. I had my favourite starter, anchovies: my main, calamari: my dining companion had pain de tomatoe with lashings of garlic and for mains “joues de Porc”. We asked Gerrard to recommend a white wine… wow we were delighted by his choice. The service was good, friendly and pleasant. Another of my favourite dishes is “Riz Negre”, which is finger lickin’ good and filling. My girlfriend and I do not really like the city: it's very touristic and kinda sad. This restaurant however, is a shining beacon of culinairy excellence and french pride. The service is solid (at 38°C the servers were still working at full speed) and the food is absolutely amazing. I have been to all continents (except the north pole) and have never tasted sea food this great. The best seafood restaurant in town, if not on all the french mediterranean coast.
