La Taberna del Galet — Restaurant in Céret

Incredible! Our host, Robin, was amazing as a server. Even though we did not speak great french, he did everything to make our stay and our dinner a great experience. We had Tapas and ordered the mussels with aoli, fried camembert, calamari andalus and patatas bravas. I cannot decide on the best, because they were all really really good! The sizes and serving were optimal, but most importantly, the taste. Just wow! I can encourage everyone to come here and see for yourself, or rather taste for yourself.

NOTE: The kitchen is open for ORDERING dinner between 7:30pm and 9pm, but this does not mean, that the Restaurant closes. We thought, we had 1.5h for dinner and everything, but this was not an issue at all. Also, parking can be tricky...

My advice for the owner, correct your opening times and note some other way that the kitchen closes at 9 (this was almost a reason for us not to come, because we thought we would not have enough time!!!)

All in all, definitely top 3 of all dinner...

Very generous portions for a decent price. The food was good and the ambiance is very nice. Very nice staff. I had the entrecôte, quite a big portion, maybe a bigger portion of potatoes or more veggies would balance out the meal a bit more. My dad had the pork cheeks which I definitely recommend. Very tender and delicious and only 19€. Had a pitcher of their local wine, nothing special, a bit bland. Tiramisu for desert, good but nothing special, was hoping to get the crème brûlée/ crème catalane (can't remember which it was) but they were out...

We love this place! Tucked away in a small town where we live - Thuir - but u could easily be in Spain OK, so its v close to the border!

Great food, excellently cooked and plenty of it - carnivore's delight! - they'll do vegetarian plates but really go for viande! Staff very jolly. Great...
