Stopped in Taj Mahal for a trip in Caen, quite a big surprise!
Me and my family spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant: nice atmosphere, wonderful people and delicious food were key to our experience.
We were warmly greeted and service was perfect, all the passion that the owner and his wife perfectly reflects in Taj Mahal and its dishes.
With a wide range of Indian dishes, the restaurant is situated in a key position not so far away from the city centre.
We had samosa, bhajya onions, bread with cheese and garlic as starters, all accompanied with typical sauces (spicy, mint-flavoured and sweet ones).
Moving on to main courses, we opted for chicken tikka masala, vegetables with curry, meat saag and shrimp saag, accompanied by basmati rice. All of these particular dishes were extremely balanced and full of flavours!
Ending with two extremely refreshing sweets, we had halwa coco and gulab jamun, which were the perfect conclusion to an already exquisite dinner.
I would strongly advise to book your table in advance, as the restaurant itself is not that big and tends to get full during common dinner hours.
