Bella Pizza Luzy — Restaurant in Château-Chinon (Ville)

This is an un-doubtably controversial claim.

The Best Pizza (dough/pâte & toppings) must somehow be a strong balance between so many ingredients that any claims must take into account flavour profiles of everything from the base flour & water to the spices on top. I would posit that a Michelin star taster agrees that "the best" must make your mouth water with the smell or thought of a thing (even if it's between bites).

This Pizza makes your mouth water and your mind explode with happiness.

The BEST Pizza in France (go taste the "Menton" or "Nice" Italian Pizzas and taste hers' in Luzy!)

The ingredients are local and the flour comes from a mill that uses wheat from the region.

The dough/Pâte is her recipe and it is unreal delicious...lightly crispy and perfectly fluffy sourdough base (my god)

One of our Pizza's was with a tomato base and the other with creme fraiche and both were delicious

Day after cold Pizza was stunning.

After travelling and visiting across France from 1990 until 2024 I think I have a decent grasp of just how "Meh" pizza is in a large swath of the country (e.g., Bordeaux, Nice, Bandol, Menton, Cassis, Dijon, Lyon, Tours, Pau, Biarritz, Hossegor, Anglet, Le Havre, Caen, Cannes, St Cyr sur Mer, Eze (both), Aix, Vauvenargues, Alise st Reine, Les Laumes, Vichy, Auxerre, Avallon, Lille, Paris (quite a few places), Corsica (two but I won't say where because they adore a vendetta), and a few more places).

I've only had a chance to eat here twice but if you're within an hours drive...it's worth eating one at the resto and taking one home.
