This was our worst stay ever! I called ahead early in the day and asked for two rooms and let them know we were two couple on our bikes. They said no problem. When we were only minutes away at the end of the day, they called and said they only had one room with two double beds. Aside from the fact that it was hot with no fan or air circulation and dirty and there were bugs everywhere, at 3:30 am there were loud men outside smoking. The room is practically on top of the bridge so you are sleeping with a lot of car noise. The shower did not drain and was so very tiny (and I am a small woman). Breakfast had rotten fruit in the fruit basket and even though we asked for and were granted an 11:00 am check-out (only 30 minutes extra time from their preferred 10:30 check out), we were harassed to vacate the room even before 11. I was on a work call and could not open the door but heard the rudeness of the woman raising her voice to get us out. Simply unacceptable customer service for such a shabby hotel. I ended up packing my bike bag and changing on the bike trail just outside the Hotel as we were rushed out of the place brusquely.
We ate dinner at the restaurant and everything was average. The young boys serving us were clearly doing their best in a horrible work environment. Ride right past this place as they have no business being in the hospitality business AT ALL. Many great places along the Loire á Vélo. This is not...

Read moreOn arrival the owner was unenthusiastic and made us feel we were an inconvenience. The rooms were of a good size but en suite shower was so tiny, we couldn't turn once around once in and shower head filthy. Toilet was not en suite. Towels and bedding clean and fresh however there were cobwebs in most corners of the room. Breakfast was poor value and served with little enthusiasm. After leaving an item in the room, I tried to ring and email the owner, telephone number was unavailable and no...
