We arrived on valentines evening after a 12hr drive from UK with 2 tired but excited kids. I had, on booking, declined the Gourmand St Valentines dinner as we didn’t want formal dining and wouldn’t be fair on kids or other diners! Anyway - could we get some food pls? - “non” restaurant was full! Ok can we order room service and eat in bar pls? - “non” - there is no room service. Ok can we order some bar snacks - non - we don’t offer. So we gave up and said we’d call domino’s which they said ok! (Glad I’m not the owner!) but dominos said 1hr! So we gave up that as well. My wife decided to go to the kitchen herself and finally the nice barman brought us small cold plate of ham/cheese & rolls. Lucky us and the kids were highly underwhelmed! The other couple in the bar with a child did book the restaurant but there was no space. Funnily enough they got something warm served to them in the bar! And another couple actually had a dominos delivery! Bizarre! The room was tired and looked like layer after layer of cheap renovation. A noisy fuse box in a cupboard was met with - c’est comme ca (it’s just like that) and whilst I went to the car park my wife had to carry our bags to the room whilst 3 men at reception chatted away and never offered to help. That’s disgusting service. The bathroom was terrible and the shower head wouldn’t even hold up in the shower. They charged/ripped me off for €325 for the privilege and then breakfast on top. ||I declared it the real life Fawlty Towers of France and I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Not to mention dirty carpets, corridors and the bucket dirty cleaning water in the corridor as we left to checkout. ||Terrible service mentality and honestly not worth 1 star if you are used to travel. The hotel is in...
