BAR - BRASSERIE "Le Versailles Normand" — Restaurant in Cherbourg

Good coffee, loved the sherbert. I had the fish and chips, the fish batter was good but the fish was cut thin and was tough, the fries were good. We were looking out on a parking lot so not much atmosphere. My partner ordered the burger and he told them he was allergic to pork and there was bacon on the burger. He wasn't too happy and felt sick afterwards. The service was prompt and friendly, they have a friendly corgi named Oscar that made at feel at home. The place was quite busy and we got seated, served quickly. Just wishing my poor honey had been happier. He is from that area and expects a lot. I'm from the states where everything is served from frozen, nothing is fresh so I was quite happy overall. Looking forward to seeing...

Extremely disappointing plat du jour how on earth can you make bland spaghetti bolognease sauce. Large chicks of onion and tomatoes and no meat or thick sauce. 13 euros that's overpriced in my opinion. Watery tasteless pasta again absolutely no flavour or seasonings. Even added salt and pepper could not improve this dish. Rose wine was actually ok because we ordered a rather expensive provencal by the glass. Decor was lovely so we had high expectations unfortunately this venue didn't live up to our standards. Would not recommend. No discount off the bill even though the waitress could see we had left our pasta dish. Restaurant want overly busy so no excuses for poor...

Je me suis régalée avec la salade du moment mais qui selon moi manquait un peu de salade , ou alors trop de lardon ^^, nous sommes arrivés en milieu de service et installé en terrasse donc un peu d'attente pour la prise de commande mais pas au point d'enlever une étoile 😁 service impeccable, avec un au-revoir de la petite mascotte Oscar en partant 🐶 la grimm d'automne est vraiment très bonne , et les frites maison excellentes !
