O'berge du Parc — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

Service was slow, chaotic and disorganized. I quickly regretted ordering a menu as my patience kept running out. Should I even mention that one of the meals was forgotten and our bill was erroneous? Owner's friends came in later but their table somehow got quick and efficient service, contrary to the rest of the clients.

Owner could do his restaurant a favor and let the professionals run it instead. It's obvious he's there to show off and impedes the rest of the dedicated staff.

Food is decent but you can easily find a better place to spend an evening...

Visitando i paesini intorno al ristorante (Riquewihr, Ribeauvillè, Hunawihr...) immancabilmente si passa davanti all'Oberge du Parc ed era sempre pieno di gente di ottimo umore, pertanto abbiamo scelto anche noi di unirci ai commensali, una sera in settimana di agosto. L'accoglienza è stata eccezionale, simpaticissimo il cameriere e anche le ragazze. Abbiamo scelto piatti tipici locali, come la choucroute e gli spaetzle, ottimi e abbondanti (i crauti in particolare dolci e leggermente sapevano d'aceto, molto piacevoli) e birre locali. Per finire una flammkuchen dolce alle mele flambè al calvados, una delizia per il palato! Speso 30€ a testa. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la simpatia del personale, in particolare quando abbiamo fatto notare che i salatini bretzel che ci hanno portato come aperitivo (in un barattolino Rocco Bormioli tarocco, ma made in italy), in Italia li chiamiamo proprio "Alsaziani": l'ilarità del personale è stata contagiosa, anche la ragazza che ci ha portato da mangiare un altro Rocco Bormioli con i salatini, ha detto "Voilà Alsaziani" e giù a ridere! Il cameriere ha asserito di ricordarsi per sempre questa curiosità, vedremo l'anno prossimo quando lo interrogherò se sarà in grado di ricordare la parola (lui ripeteva AAI per ricordarsi le vocali in sequenza, per cui io lo chiamavo AAI visto che non sapevo il suo nome...). Ripeto, ottima esperienza, personale simpaticissimo e sempre disponibile, ottimo cibo, ottima birra. Non chiedevo...

So, did a hike, fell upon this restaurant, not booked. Enquired about Gluten Free options. Great service, the food was served promptly. I had the beef entrecôte, with pepper sauce, vert salad and fries. All of which when asked for were ok’d as GF options. Has to be one of the best meals I’ve had in this area….enjoy this restaurant even if you don’t need GF options I am hopeful you won’t be disappointed. Many thanks for the lovely lunch...
