The food at Castle was perfectly nice, and the menu de délice was very good value and I can recommend. However, sadly one problem marred our trip. My partner, who does not eat pork by religion, asked for the burger which, on the menu, did not have bacon in the ingredients. When it came, after she had already taken a couple of bites we realised it actually had bacon on. I will be honest and say that she did finish the rest of the burger after we removed the bacon because we assumed it must have been a fault on our part for missing it on the menu, but we double checked and it wasn't there. When we asked the waiter she said that the kitchen had had their menu updated but they hadn't printed it out for the customers. She apologised but in the end was only able to offer to take the drinks off our bill. Sadly it caused my partner a bit of stress as it was the first time she had eaten pork and had hoped never to otherwise. Even without it being a religion issue, listing the ingredients falsely of course also presents issues such as allergies etc. It put a black mark on an otherwise good meal.

Le restaurant Castle de Pierrefonds vaut vraiment le détour car il est incroyable! Nous avons été manger dans cet établissement par hasard avant la visite du château. Eh bien franchement c'était un grand moment. l'entrée, les plats, et le dessert dont j'ai mis la photo était vraiment dingues! On ne dirait pas mais ce restaurant je pense familial à une recherche de gouts juste incroyable. Dieu sait le nombre de restaurants dans lesquels je suis allé, et sincèrement j'ai été marqué par les gouts de chaque chose. En plus tout est fait maison de A à Z, et selon les saisons. C'est à dire le feuilletage du trio de foie gras que j'ai pris par exemple, le poisson avec la sauce juste ouf, et le dessert qui était juste dingue aussi. Nous avons été en plus très bien accueillis même sans avoir réservé. Avec un grand sourire. Les gars en cuisine ont pas beaucoup de place, mais ils envoient des plats qui vous marqueront de par leur qualité et je le redis, par le gout surtout. Je pense que ce restaurant devrait etre exemplaire car tout le monde rigole, il n'est pas grand mais je conseil à ceux qui aiment les grandes tables. C'est à dire les personnes qui veulent se faire plaisir à vraiment bien manger, de franchir la porte de cet établissement. Je ne m'attendais pas à avoir cette qualité de plats du tout de chez du tout. Je n'habite pas à côté du tout mais Le Castle à tout des grands restaurants. Merci d'avoir cette recherche de gouts car c'est grâce à cela que la France est reconnue pour sa cuisine dans le monde entier. Des petits établissements proposent encore et heureusement de la vraie cuisine. Donc bravo à toute l'équipe franchement mémorable.

Went her for my mums birthday meal and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and accommodating for two pushchairs. We all ordered the set menu either two or three course. All food was delicious and look amazing! Real effort into the presentation which was lovely. The desserts were the highlight for me with the citron tart to die for!

We visited as they offer Fish of the day for 13 euros, for lunch. We sat at almost 12:20 and we were only the second table there. When i asked about the fish of the day he said that he didn't have any but he show me the Turbot fish a la carte for 24 euros instead. Finally we left as i didn't eat the beef piece or the Parmentier with boudin noir which was the plat du jour. But we didn't like that he didn't propose to have the fish for the price of lunch time or that he didn't tell us from before that he didn't offer the fish of the day, which he proposed at the menu outside. Absolutely amazing experience. Dining at Castle was an unexpected surprise to my wonderful Pierrefonds trip. Food was great. After dinner, I immediately booked another reservation for the next day. I was afraid that not being able to speak French would be a problem, but no, staff was very friendly and patient (so some language barrier is not a big deal nowadays as long as people are willing to communicate), and even offered to help me call for taxi on the next day for my return trip.
