The food here is much more expensive than Google reviews give as the average (40-50 euros a head). There is a set menu at 48 euros not including coffee or cheese which are extra (!). 4 people, 4 meals, 4 aperitifs (12 euros each), 1 bottle of wine (29 euros). Total = 318 euros (80 euros a head) for what should have been a 200 euro meal. Overall, the meal was disappointing. One of us was not a meat eater and was just given farmed salmon as a substitute for the main meat course. Generally the food was tasty and well cooked but the portions were small. I had to ask for it, which is how I found out that we were being charged for cheese and coffee. When there is a set menu usually all courses and coffee are included. This gave me the impression that the restaurant is not being straightforward about what they are charging and just expect people pay without question. It left me with a bad taste...

We started with an amuse bouche of seared tuna on crusty bread with a fig sauce. The next course was tender squid in squid ink and asparagus with a mustard sauce. It was heavenly! The main course was fall-off-the-bone duck in a savory sauce with potatoes. Dessert was the showstopper- a pavlova with strawberries with lemon cream and basil. We finished the night in the magical courtyard sipping vintage Armagnac. 5 stars all the way- highly...

Absolutely stunning find faultless food and service. Think Michelin starred quality without the pretension and...
