L'origan — Restaurant in Condom

We had booked a table, but still ended up waiting for 60min for a menu, 1hr 45 for a drink, 2hrs for food to arrive and then a salmon dish was undercooked and had to go back. After so long the pizza was well received and tasty. Waitress was friendly when she had a moment to serve us but insanely overstretched - they basically had a melt down and we could see people sitting down, waiting and then leaving. To top it off the card machine didn’t work and we, like a few other tables, had to go find a cash machine. It looked like they were struggling to balance takeaways and eat-ins. The way this place spills out into the street (no traffic, just pedestrians) creates a lovely atmosphere at this great pizzeria. We have been coming here every summer for many years (decades even) and always enjoy. The old-school wood burning brick oven makes AMAZING pizza, and the varied menu (including white pizza) has both Italian standards and wonderful creations using local Gers delicacies (duck mainly). Very good steak preparations, pasta and salads too. Good menu for kids. Recommend booking on weekend nights, particularly if you have a large party. Friendly service,...

We were truly impressed by Gaël’s attention to us ,even though she wasn’t working in the section where we were seated, she made sure we received all our dishes and provided excellent service. Her professionalism and kindness really stood out.

That said, we must admit that, overall, the service felt a bit slow. We waited over an hour to receive just one plate, and it seemed the team was struggling to keep up perhaps it was simply a particularly busy day in the kitchen.
