Nice little area by the beach, with lovely food and cocktail drinks that are also nonalcoholic! Be warned you will need reservations to make it in time for lunch and or dinner in advance!
For lunch the cod fish and cheese salad were super heavy and tasty! It was both a lunch and dinner meal at once!
For cocktails the nonalcoholic versions were super! Highly recommend the virgin mojito and the Florida drink!
I wouldn’t recommend their lemonade as it is more of a sprite than actual home made lemonade, go for the nonalcoholic cocktails if you want!
The staff hardly spoke any English and were efficient but less friendly to foreigners.
Seating inside the restaurant is lovely, the outside seating in the backside is quite bad, it looks over an abandoned swimming pool? Which is covered in black plastic and during sunny weather it gets really hot as well as a lot of wasps!
Their google maps says they are open until 23:00, but be warned that they have lunch service from 12:00 until 13:00/14:00 and dinner service from 18:00/19:00, i wish they’d communicate...
Read moreWent for a late dinner during the off season. It was a bit busy, but they were able to fit us in quickly. The restaurant is beautiful!
We were excited to try the mussels, but unfortunately they were out. We got a scallop dish (daily special?) that was pretty good. I ordered the steak au poivre, and it was inedible :( they asked if I was okay with a medium cook, but it came out very rare/blue-rare and somehow was also VERY tough and super gristle-y. Fries were soggy and unseasoned too.
Our server was obviously trying to get out of there for the night and pretty much ignored us. When we finally did get his attention for the bill, he told us to just pay up front (we didn't see anyone other tables doing this?) The other staff that occasionally stopped by were fine.
I totally understand that availability and service may vary when it's not peak season, but it was a major bummer to have such a poor...
Read moreTwo Canadians visiting Dieppe. We read the reviews and decided to try as we were just across at the Mecure Hotel. The reviews were good. I had the Caesar salad which was excellent, my wife had the fish of the day which was good. However our experience with service and hospitality was poor. We asked for water at the beginning of our meal, it did not come. We finished our meal and asked again, it never came. My beer glass and wife’s wine glass remained empty for the entire meal and we were not checked on to see if we would like another. We decided to just pay the bill and leave and go across the street. A bit of a shame, but we didn’t let it ruin our impression of this beautiful see side town, with forever strong ties to the Canada and the Canadians who fell here over 2 world...
