This was actually our third choice after the first two were fully booked, what a choice it turned out to be. We had the chefs' country pate as starter which had excellent flavour and perfect texture, and what was described as 'stuffed shellfish' which were actually giant clams in garlic butter, perfectly cooked and presented. Main course was even better, first up was '5 fishes', served with a velvety cream sauce, and green veg with potatoes, then veal chop with a rich stock reduction bursting with flavour, with creamy mashed potato and mushrooms. Read moreStopped off for our final meal of the year in France before boarding the ferry. Wasn't expecting too much from the outside, but have to say.....very impressed. The good was excellent, (I had lamb stew), the waiting staff were very friendly, and at 61 euros for two main courses, one desert, four glasses of decent house wine and two coffees, I thought good value considering the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend, and I will definitely be using the same place...
