L'Age de Raisin — Restaurant in Dijon

Would give zero stars if possible. I was excited to go to this wine bar while visiting Dijon. We made a specific effort to visit and headed over around 10p. There were were two tables outside, one empty, and fairly busy inside. The man at the bar (owner?) shrugged and said they were full, so we decided to forgo the open table outside for a glass of wine down the street and planned to return a bit later. At around 11:30 we returned and noticed lots of open tables and two occupied ones inside. The man at the bar once again shrugged and someone told us in English the place is closed. This is clearly not the case, as he was serving others and it was early enough. For whatever reason he just did not want to serve us. We are two friendly late-20s women, were excited to have a glass of wine and perhaps learn about the local wines, and were so disappointed by the rudeness shown to us. Great restaurant if you are looking for a place that is low key, original, cosy and has a local atmosphere. The service was personal and attentive. The escargot were tasty but on the small side. The coq au vin had a beautiful sauce, but much to our disappointment, the meat was tough and dry, a big let down for what is supposed to be a signature dish. One of the best places to eat at. If you are visiting this region please go. The three course meal is delicious. Loved the flavors. The house wine BOURGOGNE COTE is amazing, we bought two bottles; there's a sweet note to begin with, then it finishes dry without being bitter. The chocolate mousse was lick worthy. And the owner/server is the sweetest guy you will ever meet, he really took care of us. Was very nice to us Americans who can't speak...
