Les Marquisades Don Camillo — Restaurant in District of Dax

The pizza looked like it came from the microwave. The crust was way too thick, and not crunchy at all. I ordered a pizza Hawaï, and the final result was a pizza with too much cheese, too much ham, and too little pineapple. There was just a slice of pineapple in the middle of the pizza. If you call yourself a "pizzeria" the pizzas should at least be tasty. For €12 I could also buy a pizza at the supermarket and it would still be tastier!

I also ordered salmon, which costed around €15 and I ended up eating nearly RAW salmon. I said it to the bartender, he would say it to the chef and get a new one... HE NEVER RETURNED.

The ice cream was horrible too for a restaurant that also calls itself a "glaçier". 'le Roi des Cones' may be more expensive, but it's all worth it and 20 times better than this ice cream.

I don't understand why this restaurant is so full every evening, because of the horrible food they serve here.

Je venais souvent manger dans ce restaurant pendant mon adolescence, lors de vacances dans la région. J’ai eu envie d’y retourner avec ma mère pour revivre ces bons moments. Au départ, il a été un peu difficile de se souvenir exactement du restaurant où nous allions, car il y en a plusieurs dans la rue. Mais un détail m’est revenu : les plats à moules en forme de coquillage ! Ce souvenir m’avait marquée.

Nous avons donc réservé une table pour deux un samedi soir d’août, à 21h. À notre arrivée, nous avons été installées immédiatement, et le personnel a gentiment accepté de nous changer de table, car la première se trouvait dans un courant d’air.

La prise de commande a été rapide, les boissons sont arrivées vite, malgré une petite erreur sur celle de ma mère, rapidement corrigée.

Nous avons toutes les deux choisi les moules au gorgonzola : un vrai délice ! La sauce était excellente, les moules très bonnes, et les frites également. J’aurais presque pu en manger une deuxième portion… mais après quelques minutes, la gourmandise a laissé place à la satiété : j’étais bien rassasiée !

Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à ceux qui cherchent de bonnes moules. Les pizzas et les desserts avaient aussi l’air très appétissants, même si nous n’en avons pas pris cette fois.

Le service était impeccable : les serveurs étaient agréables, gentils et à l’écoute. L’ambiance et la décoration sont chaleureuses et conviviales.

J’y retournerai...

Sadly very bad service. Me and 3 friends first had a very nice table however after only a few minutes we were asked to switch tables to another one which was at the back next to a storeroom and the toilets. Our previous table was then given to a family that had arrived after us. We then watched as the family was served drinks whereas we had been forgotten. After 7 minutes without even receiving the menu and countless times of trying to make eyecontact with the waiter we left...
