After you see the sign off the D10, it’s a 15 minute anticipatory drive toward the grand entrance. You will not be disappointed, the grounds are breathtaking.||If you arrive after sunset, go slowly as the directional signs are not lit and they are small. When you come to a fork in the road, stay right. ||Methi in Reception provided a warm welcome, offering a gel for my sisters’s sore back. We benefited from her attentive hospitality and missed her on her days off. ||Our six day stay was magical, enhanced by the most wonderful staff. They brought my sister a large heavy plastic sealed bag of ice for her sore back. Three days in, Rhazi, from room service, brought her another without her asking. Kevin in Engineering showed us how to operate the tv and returned to change batteries in our room phone. ||Nightly, Rhazi and others from Room Service, brought a wine bucket full of ice for our room, as Americans, we love ice, even in bottled water.||Our Junior Suite with terrace with seating for six was perfect, providing the extra room we needed for an extended stay. The setting was extremely quiet, even over the busy weekend.||We appreciated the little touches - bottled water for our car each morning, bottled water for the room every night along with a little sweet which changed nightly. ||The buffet breakfast offerings were endless: order eggs cooked to your liking, pancakes, French toast, smoked salmon, a large cheese selection, cereals and granolas, homemade bread and endless breakfast pastries. You’ll take your breakfast in the stunning Le Jardin Michelin star restaurant. ||We ordered Room Service three nights, tired from a day of touring the area and preferring not to go out. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Even on the night when the kitchen was closed, a staff member brought us a modified menu. Try the artichoke barigoule with bacon and onion, it was a nice surprise, more like a light vegetable soup. ||Treat yourself with an extended stay, you will not be...

We stayed at Chateau de Berne for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was magical. The chateau is nestled in the hills of Provence and just over an hour drive from Aix. Among the hectares of beautiful grape vines and olive trees is the storybook castle and villas that make up the property. We were greeted by the most professional, courteous, and welcome team who valeted our car at no cost and took our bags to our room.

We only had a basic room, but it was surprisingly large, with a very impressive bathroom complete with two sinks, soak tub, and shower with a view of the estate. The room had great AC, a king size bed, and was decorated with a perfect rustic elegance that made it feel both modern and Provençal. They turned down the room twice a day and always made sure we had bottled, complimentary water stocked.

We spent our days at the chateau wandering the vineyards, lounging by the pool, tasting wine, touring the winemaking facilities, and eating the AMAZING food at both Le Jardín and Le Bistro. The pizza at Le Bistro was a particular highlight. If you want to eat off the property, as the food onsite can be pricey, you should definitely bring a car and drive into the nearby town of Lorgues. The hotel does have a fantastic daily breakfast buffet, and room service is available at all hours. And of course, one night should be spent at the Michelin-Starred Le Jardín de Berne that served a creative, yet approachable tasting menu that featured all local ingredients.

Overall, the chateau was a perfect romantic getaway made even more special by the staff’s pride in their work and customer service skills. If you love wine, the outdoors, and gastronomy, I highly recommend a trip to...

My now fiancé and I traveled to this spectacular Chateau in May where I proposed. It was one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had. The chateau was beyond gorgeous, the property itself was something out of a fantasy. While there, we got to experience the wine tour, the spa, the walking trails and all of the resturaunts including Le Jardien de Berne which we had the full tasting menu. I couldn’t recommend a meal more than that meal, it was to die for. We lounged by the stellar pools on the property and simply enjoyed the peaceful serenity of the Chateau. Most importantly, every single staff member that we interacted with were some of the nicest, genuine and caring humans that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They helped me plan and prepare for the special occasion and made everything seamless. There truly are not enough words to describe how amazing this place is, and how incredible our time spent here was. We will 100% be returning in the future and we cannot wait for that day. To the chateau, if you remember us, we would still love one of the copies of the Le Jardien spring menus to cherish as a keep sake from our engagement and time spent with you! Much love, Harrison and Amanda

Absolutely stunning property and overall experience. Came here for our honeymoon and it was the closest place to heaven we’ve ever been. The staff is beyond a 5-star rating for accommodation and the attention to detail they show is on par with the phenomenal Le Jardin De Berne (also on property). This small slice of paradise was incredibly quiet and uncrowded due to the smaller size of clientele that the hotel can accommodate. This lead to the fantastic nature sounds being the loudest part of our stay as well as amazing selection of spaces to relax in. No pool ever felt so busy you would have to go extremely early to reserve a choice spot. Going during peak season, over a weekend, we still always felt that our every need was being handled quickly, thoughtfully, and with minimal interruption to our stay. Do yourself and anyone you love a favor and book a room ASAP. You can fit in a lot in a couple days but I would recommend a little longer as there is just too much to see, do and eat.
