Great pizzas… except there was a rock in one of them!

It is a shame, and I was very surprised (and pained) when my teeth crunched on a rock while eating my (otherwise tasty) Atlantide pizza.

We took six of them to-go, all were delicious, but after this incident I am not sure I would recommend the restaurant. Or, at least, be very careful to check the pizza beforehand!

Update: got an answer that is far from an apology (which would be enough), so we update this. After I immediately posted the review, and we continued eating, we actually found out more rocks on all the pizzas. We did not update our review then (with more pics) because it did not matter. But after reading the restaurant review which is basically « we don’t believe you » this made me very upset. We took all pictures every time we found more rocks. I don’t know how they were ended up there; and the pizzas were tasty regardless, but I now wish we did not take them to-go so we could show them in front how many...

We ate here on a Sunday lunchtime, the staff were very friendly and the food was very good. The main reason for scoring 4 overall was that we were enticed by the 'menu du jour', which was advertised on the blackboard outside. However, after we had settled in and they brought the menus, they advised that the menu du jour was not available on a Sunday, despite it being advertised on the board - a bad start...

Un vero ristorante italiano in Francia! Partiamo dalle pietanze e specifichiamo che siamo italiane doc abituate a mangiare bene e le foto purtroppo non rendono giustizia al sapore delle pietanze. È tutto fresco, tutto fatto e servito con cura, sapori autentici, è la prima volta che all’estero mangio una pizza davvero buona. Il servizio? Oltre le aspettative, la simpatia di Antonio, la professionalità di Vincenzo e l’affabilità di Romina rendono questo ristorante imperdibile per tutti gli italiani che passano da Tolone e anche per i francesi a cui piace mangiare bene, coccolati da un’eleganza semplice ma ricercata, con dei prezzi davvero onesti, anzi generosi. È un peccato, davvero un peccato che una famiglia italiana così in gamba, così capace di lavorare bene non sia più in Italia. Dovremo fare tappa a Tolone più spesso, oppure sperare che un giorno tornino in Italia; mi scuso con loro perché ci siamo trattenute talmente tanto che li abbiamo sfiniti a furia di parlare, ma li ringrazio nuovamente perché ci hanno lasciato un bel...
