La Faucado — Restaurant in Draguignan

We had the lunch menu, which was today a mushroom mousse amuse bouche, an escargot tart entrée, guinea fowl main with mashed (not pureed) potatoes and roasted veggies, and amazing cheesecake with lemon basil icecream on the side for dessert. All was really delicious, and amazingly great meal. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the ambience spectacular. Oh, and the recommended white wine from Grimaud was also excellent. The food was extremely good for some of us. They had not much choice, but that's absolutely ok for high quality ingredients. Dessert was absolutely excellent.

However, the best is the cook and the waiter - both classy and grounded men with a good humour and very nice to children. Also, the athmosphere in general and the interior were great.

However, we felt for the price of about 80€ per person (including wine), the door could have been a bit better (our steak was just the steak with grated...

A wonderful experience, merci a Richard and Christophe. It is not cheap, but if you can afford to just go with it in the absence of a menu or prices, then it is incredible. The setting is beautiful, all our dietary requirements were catered for (albeit we had no complete vegetarians), and we had a fabulous convivial time. If you need a price guideline, it came out at about €75 per head. That was with wine, limoncello, mains, desserts. 2/6 of us...
