Restaurant La Forge — Restaurant in Draguignan

Our last Day in Ramatuelle we wanted to treet ourselves for a nice dinner. Unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. The first impression was nice, A friendly waiter and even A real italian chef at our table. The Food was quiet disappointing, the price did not measure the quality at all.

But the most disturbing was the service of the "chef" (the owner I guess ). His only purpose is to sell His most expensive dishes and wines, instead of making his guests happy. We were helped by a friendly waiter, but after the "chef" noticed he didn't sold us the most expensive wine at the starter we saw him getting mad at the waiter.

At the main course my girlfriend had a bottle of white wine with her tuna, the chef had the guts to ask her if she wants a glass of red wine. That we were done with this nonsense.

After the main course we didn't want a dessert nor coffee, Just finishing our wine. After that moment we were ignored at ALL by the chef. We went quiet frustrated to the cash desk to pay our overpriced bill.

Don’t go anywhere else. This is the BEST. I’m a foodie and staying in Saint Tropez, Paris etc. This restaurant has it all. Service, views and omg the FOOD! To die for. Really. Really!!! And Nicolo is the nicest most fun and knowledgeable server from Italy. The best. And I just saw other reviews about service being bad…but we did not experience this. Only kind easy wonderful people. Before you believe reviews consider what people complain about as maybe an honest mistake or lame expectations, cranky people on vacation. I guess. Doesn’t matter. I’d come back here everyday if I could....

Nice view and atmosphere of the city, good food, but nothing special, so that very overpriced. On top of this very poor, even awful service: waitresses do not know table etiquette, annoying and rude. Make sure you check you bill as in our case we found a few surprises in it, like champagne which we didn’t order and a few extra glasses of wine. Please note that you can be asked to pay for dishes you didn’t order if the waitress suggests you to adjust somehow your order. In our case instead of “antipasti to share” we were asked to pay for parma and a few...
