Siam Cavalaire — Restaurant in Draguignan

We stayed in Cavalair for over a week, ate in restaurants every evening and tried many of the top rated in town... Le Siam stands out far above all others and with one night remaining chose to return to savour one more time and we were as impressed equally as much the second time around.

The authenticity, sensational tastes and attention to detail - in food preparation and presentation are all first rate.

Nothing escapes the attentive and watchful eye of the owner (Sebastian) with support from his team of Thai chefs which includes his wife.

Exceptional food and service with a personal and friendly touch in an impeccable...

We ordered pad krapao and a massaman curry. Both had very little to do with authentic Thai dishes. The massaman had no potatoes in it and the pad krapao tasted rather like a bœuf bourguignon or goulash and the portion was also very small. I understand that this is not the main season and that there might be a staff shortage (service took quite long and perhaps the Thai chef wasn’t available that day, otherwise I cannot understand all the good ratings), but the value for money was just not good...

Une véritable pépite thaïlandaise ! 🇹🇭 Nous sommes tombés sur ce restaurant pendant nos vacances, et quelle découverte ! Le premier soir, le service était un peu lent (nous n’avions pas de réservation), mais l’équipe a été adorable et a tout fait pour nous accueillir avec le sourire. Et honnêtement, ça valait largement la peine : les plats étaient incroyablement savoureux, authentiques et pleins de finesse.

Nous avons tellement aimé que nous avons réservé une table pour le lendemain avec toute la famille. Et cette deuxième soirée a été tout simplement parfaite : un service attentionné, une ambiance agréable et une cuisine toujours aussi délicieuse.

C’est certain : ce restaurant sera notre point de chute à chaque prochain voyage, rien que pour retrouver ces saveurs. Ce qu’on va regretter le plus en rentrant chez nous… c’est cette cuisine !

Un grand bravo à toute l’équipe, on sent l'amour du détail et la passion de la vraie cuisine thaï !
