We had the most amazing experience on Monday 4th August at ‘Aux Mets de Mémé’. Travelling via the Channel Tunnel from the UK, and finding a spot to eat that’s open by the French coast on a Monday was hard to find, however this gem was perfect! What a find. Glad I researched before I went, and was able to book a table in advance online.
The service was amazing - already geared up to speak French, we were surprised to find a wonderful English speaking waitress. The set menu was well organised, lots of an options to choose from, and surprisingly, really good prices!
The beef was cooked to perfection, probably the best French fries I’ve ever eaten and, followed by an apricot frangipane, and a glass of rosé.
A perfect spot if you’re in that part of France, and actually perfect for day trippers over to Calais, as this was a 28 minute drive along the A16, and into Grand-Fort-Phillippe, which was lovely too, and plenty of places of to park, with lots of free car parking around right by the restaurant.
