Restaurant La place — Restaurant in Fougères-Vitré

Being English and with very little French between us, we were recommended to go to this restaurant in Vitre for a meal. We arrived just before midday and were shown to an outside table. Set in the Square looking over to the castle was a fantastic setting and the food we were served was equally as fantastic and very tasty. We all 3 chose steak which came with garlic potatoes and salad. The food was exceptional quality and value for money. The hotel location is amazing as it over looks a castle! The owners/staff were very welcoming and attentive. It gets very busy (as it is so popular) so you will definitely need to book/reserve a table in advance of your visit. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time...

Si vous voulez bien déjeuner (ou dîner) après la visite du château, n’allez pas plus loin. Ce beau restaurant à l’accueil agréable se trouve juste en face ! En entrée, 1 rillettes de poissons avec des petits croustillants aux fines herbes qui croustillent vraiment, un verre de vin AOG. En plat principale, 1 belle assiette de cuisse de poulet, petites pommes de terre merveilleusement caramélisés (un délice) et une salade verte très fraîche et bien assaisonnée. Le seul bémol, je n’avais plus de place pour le dessert ! Donc, voilà une bonne occasion d’y retourner !
