OBrasseur is a true brewpub with a full kitchen and decent-sized brewery. It occupies the ground floor of a modern 4-story apartment building. There is a tiny customer parking lot in front. Outside is a small paved patio area with several small circular tables. Overhead is their distinctive green and white signage. Inside is a center 4-sided wooden bar surrounded by a couple dozen stools. On the left are several small high top tables and past the bar are plenty of dining tables. The walls are brick facade with wood trim, decorated with various trinkets and sports jerseys. In the back corner is the brewery itself. They have beautiful skinny copper brewing vessels in front, with a farm of several short copper fermenters. Behind the bar are brass tap towers, and on the walls are chalkboards listing their seasonal beers. They typically have 5 house beers, 3 core plus 2 seasonal. These are easy drinking and well made, but overall just average for a brewery. 4 of the beers can be had on a sampler palette, my favorite was their limited Quadruple 8.7%. Their delicious food consists of upscale pub appetizers, salads, flammekueches (like a flatbread), burgers, sandwiches, and varied entrees. It is a good menu, well prepared by the kitchen. The staff is welcoming and proficient. The place has the charm of a cozy neighborhood tavern with good food and its own...
Read moreMe and my husband went there for the karaoke night they hold, it happens every last thursday of every month. It was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. I liked their chèvre douce a lot, and my husband liked the savoyarde. Expect to be seated with other people on karaoke night because it was filled to the brim. You might want to also bring your earplugs because after an hour the noise starts to be a little too much to handle, but I really liked the lively vibes of it.
I didn't visit it on normal days so I don't know how busy it is on a normal day. There is a Carrefour right next to it so finding a parking space is not a problem. They also have a website with the drinks and food menu available, and that's really good if you want to plan your order ahead of time.
Overall, friendly staff, good food and drinks, nice vibes, I...
Read moreObrasseur used to be my favourite restaurant the region. Unfortunately the food quality declined a lot recently, at the same time everything got more expensive. Fries taste half frozen. Salad sauce used to be better. Burgers used to have good quality. Look at the photo for comparison: A burger with "bacon"... We also had a chicken burger which is now just a glorified piece of bread with 3 chicken nuggets and an abomination that is supposed to be cheese.
The beer is great, in addition there is variety with a limited and a seasonal beer. Also great and friendly service. Stick to the basics, and you will...
