I had both good and bad experiences here. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, which made a good impression. The Adana kebap was delicious, even though the portion was rather small with too many carbs on the plate. Despite that, I enjoyed it, and the künefe was decent.
However, when we ordered takeout, we faced several issues. We got lahmacun and pide with sucuk, but there was no side salad or even a piece of lemon with the lahmacun. Luckily, I had some at home, but for the price I paid, I expected the order to be complete.
The pide with sucuk was also disappointing. If you claim it's a sucuk pide, the sucuk should be a main ingredient. Instead, it was spread in a single line down the middle of the pide, with just one slice of sucuk per piece. They charge extra for sucuk, which makes it even more disappointing given the minimal amount provided.
When I complained about it, the owner took it personally and struggled to accept the criticism. He kept insisting that quality is of utmost importance to them, and that I should have said something sooner. However, I checked the order only when I got home and wasn't about to drive back just to complain. He offered a refund, but honestly, I doubt it would happen. If I were just after my money back, I would have contacted them directly. My purpose was to give feedback, as they need to improve if they want to stay in business. Unfortunately, the owner didn’t seem to agree.
The poor communication and inability to handle feedback led me to change my 5-star rating to 1 star. I even told the owner that since that order in the summer, we hadn’t considered returning. He just couldn't understand the real problem.
Bad quality and poor customer service drive away customers. For what they charge, the quality is only average, which makes...
Read moreEdit, after owner's response: My mistake, the whole incident happened last Saturday, not Friday, namely 22nd Feb 2025. It had nothing to do with Valentine's day. Also, I'm sure I was at the doors of the right place. As for the other part of the owner's response, I'll not comment further, besides that it proves my original point about customer care quality.
Original review: I can't rate the food, only the service, management and general customer care. Despite arriving there during normal opening hours (as clearly written at the entrance doors), specifically last Friday, just after 18:00, the establishment was not open for general publlic due to a closed event.
While I understand restaurants are sometimes entirely rented out for closed events, what I cannot accept is the following: Lack of information about such an event and lack of publication of the opening hours modification. In a perfect world such an info should be available online (can be webpage, social media, there are many options these days). But at the very least there should be an announcement at the entrance doors a few days in advance - a piece of paper with a note doesn't cost much! Lack of reaction from the staff, who clearly saw two confused people outside through the glass doors unable to enter, and searching for some information posted at the entrance on why there are some customers inside, over half of the tables are empty, but the doors are locked. Needless to say, we found no such info.
Altogether if you go there, don't count on the establishment respecting their own opening hours. And based on being so vividly ignored at the entrance by the staff who saw us, I would not expect a great service...
Read moreAn absolutely incredible restaurant with authentic Turkish flavors that stay true to tradition. Every dish we tried was bursting with taste and prepared with great care. The waiter/manager is extremely friendly and attentive, making sure every detail is perfect.
I highly recommend booking in advance because this place is popular and for good reason. I was a bit sad to find that they had run out of kebab from the spit that day, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover other dishes that were just as delicious. Honestly, I wish I could pack their food in my suitcase and take it home with me — that’s how good it is!
A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful...
