IDA Restaurant — Restaurant in Grenoble

I will share my review starting with two very tiny negatives for management to see. This hardly affected our visit and will not detract from my over all score as everything by and large was fantastic. We visited twice in the week, once on the Sunday, and again on the following Friday. The Sunday visit was utter perfection. The Friday visit there were two very minor issues. Issue 1. We booked a table on Sunday for the Friday, but when we arrived they had no evidence of this. Someone must have forgotten to write it in. HOWEVER, they seated us regardless. So only a tiny issue. Issue 2. We asked for a paired wine with the steak option on the Gourmet menu, sadly the waiter was busy and must have missed our order coming out as we had already started (only just) when he arrived. We declined the pairing at this point. Again only minor issues.

The positives! Everything. The food is simply divine, on our first visit we asked for the Gourmet menu, five courses of heaven, we also opted for the wine pairing which was simply perfect, every wine complemented the food perfectly and really enhanced our experience. We asked for the cheese boards as well, delicious, with some very interesting cheeses, again the wine paired for our individual choices was spot on.

The price is higher than average, but certainly not as high as you might pay for a taster menu in other locations. I highly recommend splashing out on all the options and really making the most of your visits.

We enjoyed it so much that we booked to come again on the night before we left and once again ordered the Gourmet menu. Second time we didn’t feel the need to pair the wines or have the cheeses, we just enjoyed the menu for what it was.

Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. We had an evening meal and opted for the €69 "tasting" menu for the adults, with the child eating off the "enfant" menu. We couldn't fault the food, and the wine selection was also decent. The service was unhurried which gave us time to enjoy the experience and food. I am only writing this review regarding the bar. We did not dine in the restaurant. We went to get a round of drinks at the bar. We waited 15 mins at a table that was not cleaned off.
