Le Chalet Gourmand — Restaurant in Grenoble

Le Chalet Gourmand is premium quality, has chic / contemporary decoration, and is a delightful & welcoming restaurant for a celebration or exclusive & enjoyable dining experience for couples, groups/families which were all dining there during our twox visits on our 2022 ski holiday. Booking is essential I think. The experience was simply wonderful with the most attentive, friendly & kind waitress who spoke good English and nice table waiters. The gourmet menu was both interesting & varied, offering traditional mountain, French & international options. We have been coming to Vaujany for 20 years, and this has always been one of our favourite restaurants, due to the lovely food and great service. Unfortunately, when we came this week, we came for the pizzas on our first night, and when we asked about them (since the oven was on) they said they had run out of pizza for the season. The food we had otherwise was nice, and good value for Vaujany, but unfortunately the service we received was slow all night. This is still a great find, with traditional mountain food made to a very great standard, and would highly recommend, but unfortunately we didn’t have the best...

Très touristique - prix bien élevé, service bien froid... Fondue bourguignonne pour 2.5 personnes (on a un bébé de 20 mois), un verre de chardonnay, un pastis, 2 desserts classiques pour 92€. Alors la qualité de service ne mérite pas du tout ce prix... Un Café Liégeois de 8.5€ : 2 boules de glace avec un tout petit bout de chantilly au dessus un fond de café endessous... Surtout le pastis sec de 2 Cl a été servi dans un verre à bière, et après avoir bu 2 ou 3 gorgés la serveuse l'a enlevé en pensant que c'était vide...on l'a signalé à la serveuse, mais elle a juste ecouté, aucune proposition a été faite...A la fin on nous a factué 4€ pour les 2 ou 3 gorgés de pastis... Bon on a rien dit mais on n'y retourne plus... Pour preciser, par apport les excuses de la patronne : le pastis à été enlevé début du repas, on a essayé plusieurs fois de signaler à la serveuse malheureusement on nous a ignoré complètement, on était obligé d'en paeler quand elle était venu proposer les desserts... on est pas obligé de commander un menu d'enfant pour un bébé quand cela ne nous convient pas, et surtout le prix c'est pas donné, on a bien le choix de prendre 100g de viande supplémentaires dans la fondue à la place. Apparemment cela n'a pas plu la patronne... apparemment on est pas les seuls qui critiquent le mauvais service du resto, mais la patronne préfère passer le temps de chercher des excuses à la place d'ameliorer le resto (vois les anciennes commentaires...) tant...
