L'Atelier — Restaurant in Grenoble

Extremely poor service. Ordered drinks and the menu was taken away immediately - assumed we did not want to order food. Had to chase the waiter down several times, did not come to the table once after our initial order. Had to ask for the bill twice, took over 30 minutes from the first time asking for the bill to finally get it. Once we did, the waiter was extremely dismissive. All the other tables around us were getting significantly more and friendly service, nearly certain because we were not French speaking.

Worst service ever, in all over the world. 5!! Days I call to ask about seafood and oysters, 5 days the stuff (or may be owner) don’t know, and every day say “may be tomorrow”.

Si je pouvais mettre zéro étoile, je le ferais sans hésiter. Dès mon arrivée, j’ai eu un mauvais pressentiment—probablement à cause de l’odeur rance de vieille friture ou du désastre gastronomique qui m’attendait.

Le service ? Un chef-d'œuvre de négligence. Après 20 minutes d’attente, un serveur daigne enfin m’adresser la parole, avec l’enthousiasme d’un condamné à mort. Je commande le « plat signature », une décision que je vais amèrement regretter. Ce qui arrive devant moi est une véritable insulte à la cuisine. La viande est cuite à la perfection… si vous aimez mâcher du cuir. Les légumes ressemblent à une salade oubliée au fond du frigo, et la sauce ? Une substance gélatineuse au goût d’aliments périmés et de mauvaises décisions.

Le clou du spectacle ? Un cheveu trônant fièrement dans mon plat. Lorsque je le signale au serveur, il hausse les épaules et lâche un désinvolte : « Ça arrive. » Pas d’excuses, pas de remplacement, juste une invitation tacite à continuer mon calvaire culinaire.
