Le Cabas Creusois — Restaurant in Guéret

We visited for the first time the other evening, our food was exceptional. The amount of ingredients in the salad alone was amazing, the attention to detail is superb & the quality & providence of food itself is great.

It's a tiny place & it is a deli as well, though you can eat outside if the weather is good.

Just be careful how much you order, besides being high quality the portions are generous. We were stuffed after a salad starter & our main each, so couldn't try à pudding!

This is a real asset to Guéret & they have a nice outlook across the main (upper)...

We arrived and were enthusiastically greeted by the owner. After realizing we did not speak French, he instantly switched to English. He recommended some dishes and helped us navigate the French menu. He was very friendly!! He showed us some local photography books and made sure we had everything we needed. Actual Map has not got an up to date image of the place. It is an Epicerie and micro cafe. Sells a host of lovely luxury tasty things.
