We spent three nights in this family-run hotel and it became a home away from home. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were good. The food in the dining room was very good. The beer- made on the premises- was excellent. But best of all was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Madame advised us on places to see, places to eat and how to get there. One day, when I was feeling under the weather, I stayed behind while our group ventured forth. At lunch time, Madame brought me soup and bread-- would the Holiday Inn do that? Read moreThis hotel is located within easy walking distance of the old city, and offers excellent facilities at a reasonable price. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms were clean and roomy. A common complaint with most hotels in Europe is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities, and this is no exception, but the hotel has a reasonable priced restaurant that offers tasty meals. The only other negative was that there are absolutely no supermarkets, or general grocery shops anywhere close to the hotel, otherwise this is a perfect place to stay when...
