I visited Le Récif on a sunny afternoon and was immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere. The interior is decorated with warm colors and nautical accents. There is a small terrace that overlooks the beach, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or snack which is where we sat. We were a group of 7 The tea menu is extensive, with different teas to choose from. There are also a variety of pastries and sandwiches available. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea which was perfect . The tea was delicious. The service at Le Récif was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was funny as well.

I was surprised on how tasty the food was. The oysters were fresh with the best échalote sauce I’ve tasted. The cabillaud (fish of the day) was perfect with another special sauce and a tasty ratatouille and sauvage rice. The service is quite busy with many people, so the amount of wait time is quite unpredictable and the plates arrive randomly, not all at the same time. In our table the entrance arrived after the plates for example. But the taste pays off.

I drove to Plage des Minimes to enjoy the day at the beach and on my way back I entered this great restaurant. It doesn’t look much from outside but the food is amazing. I got the Cassolette de la mer maison to 17.50 euro and it was fantastic. I also got the house red vine to 10.80 euro for 50 cl. Only thing missing could be some classic French dinner music - definitely a place to visit to enjoy great food and sunset. Free parking next to the restaurant.

Waiting for over 5 minutes for a French couple to be served instantly whilst we were still queuing. 3 other staff members made no effort to serve us and refused eye contact. Also a lack of clear signage or where to wait. Experience with an older male waiter was generally very unpleasant and rude, especially after he attempted to argue with my partner after seating another couple first. Apart from the terrible service, the menu was extremely large which is never a good sign of the quality of food. Appears to be the most popular restaurant due to the fact surrounding eateries are rated so low, is that really a...
