Cocoa Beach Café — Restaurant in La Trinité

One of the best restaurant on the island! We went there twice, and I wish we had gone a third time as I didn’t have a chance to eat the tuna burger, only one bite off my husband’s, and it was to die for. We arrived there at night the first time, finding our way in the dark, to finally arrive to this warmly lit bustling scene with amazing music and lively atmosphere. The staff was beyond nice, everyone having this contagious joyful attitude. We arrived early the second night and played bananagrams while having drinks before the kitchen opened. (I love that the employees share their meal together before they start their shift). My daughter loved their kids chicken so much that she’s been trying to recreate it at home ever since we came back. Enjoyed our dinner there last night tremendouly. We made a reservation as recommended for 7 pm when the Cafe reopens for the evening. We were sat promptly and asked if we wanted a beverage and tapas. Choose our beverages and had the chicken spring rolls as an appetizer. They were tasty and hit the spot and were served with an asian dip. 4 spring rolls in total with a lovely garnish. Afterwards my husband had a cheese burger and fries (he loved it) and I had the chicken curry - simply delicious. Would defintely go back if we were in the area. It looked like there were regulars that go here as well as visitors to the area. The beach setting in the evening was perfect, and staff were attentive and pleasant. A fuir ! Ma pire expérience dans un restaurant à ce jour.

Nous avons été mal reçu par un monsieur qui nous a clairement montré son agacement et sa mauvaise volonté à nous proposer une solution quand nous lui avons expliqué que nous aurions un couvert de plus. Nous nous sommes vu proposé de manger quasiment en dehors du resto sur une des tables de picnic de la plage. J'ai dû moi même demander s'il etait possible de manger sur une des tables vide que j'avais vu, là où il nous a finalement placé en insistant sur le fait que nous nous sommes trompés dans notre réservation le forçant à s'organiser alors que le restaurant affichait prétendument complet. Au moment de passer à la caisse, quelle ne fût pas ma surprise de constater qu'il nous facturait la carafe d'eau. Face à mon incompréhension ce même monsieur m'explique que c'est de l'eau filtrée pour justifier sa facturation. Hors, à aucun moment à table nous n'avons eu cette information, ce que je tente de lui expliquer. Mais c'est alors qu'avec beaucoup d'agacement il ose me rétorquer qu'il me l'offre parce qu'il sent que ça me force ! Sous entendant par là que je n'aurais pas les moyens financiers de payer hors je n'ai pas été informé en demandant de l'eau que celle ci me serait facturé ! Propos parfaitement insultant. Je n'ai jamais vu ça chez un restaurateur un tel manque de respect et de mauvaise foi envers sa clientèle. Mais ce n'est malheureusement pas tout... En partant, mon groupe et moi nous nous sommes vu traité d'enseignantes par cette personne ! Je ne pourrai que conseiller au personnel de ce restaurant d'arrêter à l'avenir d'écouter des bribes de conversation de leurs clients à table car non seulement nous ne sommes pas enseignantes mais quand bien même nous l'étions cela révèle une fois de plus un comportement honteux accompagné d'un manque de discrétion et de...
